Vras'kul
The Vras'kul is one of the major devil factions to break away from The Hierarchy. In their case, they felt the Hierarchy was too uptight and bureacratic, and much too ordered. Instead, the Vras'kul believed that devils would function best in a loosely ordered hierarchy where they are free to toy with and corrupt mortals as they please. The Vras'kul mainly focuses on corrupting individuals and obscuring morality to encourage evil. They thrive in regions that are choatic, but still have great wealth to take avantage of, and are often seen using mortals as puppets, more for the fun of it than a real goal. When the Vras'kul work together, they tend to promote culture-wide corruption and normalize bad practices by targeting bureacrats, soldiers, and rulers. Once this is done, they can desensetize the population and roam free without restraint.
History
The Vras'kul is one of the 'younger' breakaways from the Hierarchy, being originally composed of devils who were tired of the bureacratic power plays and factionalism within the organization. Most of their members had become disillusioned with the Hierarchy and no longer believed that a strict order was needed to maintain control. They saw the Hierarchy as increasingly enforcing unitary actions on its members and preventing them from having fun (their idea of fun is fucking with mortals), and decided to abandon the Hierarchy in order to focus on debauchery. Instead of seeing the Eighth Realm as a place to be conquered and to enforce devilish will on, they saw it as a playground that they could constantly corrupt and allow to fall into chaos through manipulation. Since the Vras'kul is a fairly loose organization, it also attracted many free demons who enjoy playing with their food and liked the association with devils, but did not want to be slaves or soldiers. This gave the faction an immediate power base and allowed it to survive its early years. Vras'kul has developed over the years as an opposition to devil militarism, as they believe this focus on conquest and war is a foolish policy which can be outperformed by giving mortals what they think they want and encouraging them to fall from honorable intentions to total evil.
