Trosaugs
Trosaugs are ancient bestial humanoids that live in the deepest subterranean pools of the New World. They are hostile towards all creatures and not much is known about their society, but they are certainly intelligent enough to set traps- Sakir avoid subterranean lakes for this reason. They have pale skin and sightless eyes, but their other senses are quite developed. Trosaugs are quite large and are believed to survive on a diet of underground fish and some sort of cultivated lakeweed that uses thermal vents. It is lucky for the world that Trosaugs have a recorded intolerance of salt water, lest they overtake the seafloor as well.
