Swamp Elves

Swamp Elves are a subgroup of High Elves who entered the Fey'ur during the Western Expeditions of Oleandron and would only escape over 500 years later. However, they did not turn up where they entered, but rather in the feytouched swamp on Grenholl. Upon realizing that the Empire of Oleandron had been destroyed, the legionnaires resolved to build a new Empire in the north and later reclaim their old lands. Their early attempts to expand outwards from the swamp were met with disdain from the Grenhóllr, who quickly defeated their attempts to use outdated tactics and ancient weapons. While the swamp itself was quite dangerous, it was safe from the natives, who believed the swamp to be cursed. Here, the legion adapted to their new environment by removing themselves from their old ways and morals. Their dream of rebuilding their empire dwindled as time went on, as their new main goal was purely to survive this inhospitable landscape. Instead, the elves have become focused on maintaining and defending the swamp from outside encroachment, while also making deals and bargains with the fey in order to provide themselves with protection and greater magic. These swamp elves are the only elves known to worship fey.
