Republic of Bloeirra
The modern republic of Bloeirra stems from a rebellion against the Kingdom of Ambolaine. During the 1200s, the Kingdom had been rapidly expanding its power into Cloriadme, but it had failed to centralized power and thus faced numerous foes. Bloeirra was just close enough to the Fremedhian populated regions to be threatened by them, though not close enough to be reigned in. The region's Cloriadmen majority was incensed by repeated acts by the Ambolainers- for one, their behavior when the land had been conquered was deplorable. The scale of rape, pillaging, and kidnapping for harems (as at this time Ambolaine practiced polygamy) did absolutely nothing to endear their conquerors to the Bloeirra. Efforts at centralization angered the tribal authorities who'd previously held sway, the garrisons provided continued to behave poorly, and there was a surplus of young, unmarried, and angry men. Finally, in 1288, the various tribal chiefs met and negotiated a joint government which immediately declared independence for the region. The state became de facto independent after 4 years, when a rebellion in the Sictellas region began. However, there were still sorties made by both parties until 1319, when peace was signed between Sictellas and Ambolaine. Still, Bloeirra's independence was unrecognized until 1332, when the Treaty of [tbd] was signed, which recognized the following partition of Ambolaine: The western provinces would remain tied to the kingdom, while the eastern Fremedhian lands would be ceded to the rebels, excluding the province of Teveska, which remained a possession of Ambolaine. In the end, the Kingdom of Ambolaine was left as a rump state, though it still had nominal control over Teveska. This nominal control soon became irrelevant, as the Teveskans abandoned royal authority in 1338; they had merely used Ambolaine as a means to solidify the border with Bloeirra and obtain a last few concessions from the ailing state. Bloeirra would go on to join the Cloriadmen Confederation upon its formation, providing aid towards Wellenia, and has traditionally been on the side of the other oligarchic republics.
