Pomponius the Man

Pomponius Caminalus was an Elf of unknown origin who came to the nation of Maurcigon during the beginning of the Telgren Time of Troubles. Maurcigon's economy had inflated, leaving people to starve and revolt against their Rulers in response. Out of the turmoil stepped Pomponius, clad in a hooded robe for anonymity, and a small band of followers. He began to preach to the Mauronians of a greater Maurcigon, promising to transform the nation into the region's seat of power. It did not take long for his followers to grow in numbers, who were all ready for reform. Among his preaching's, Pomponius had also committed great miracles, such as curing the sick and turn dead land into lush, fertile pastures. The Mauronians, who are foreign to the concept of magic other than Runic, which they are not proficient with, were in awe of Pomponius's abilities. So much so, people even started worshipping him as a Messiah sent by the Gods to save them. Pomponius declared that his knowledge of magic would break the average mortals mind, yet if he were to successfully usurp the King of Maurcigon, he would teach his magic to the people. After the Siege of [NATION CAPITOL], he revealed himself to the Mauronians that he was indeed not human like them, but an Elf. He declared that due to the help of his followers he would renounce his Elfhood, then proceeded to cut the tips of his ears off in front of his audience. Afterwards, he selected some of his most devout disciples and taught them some of his magic, stating the secret to his power was the consumption of sentient flesh. He told his disciples to spread his teachings.
