Imbuement Magic
Imbuement magic is the process of implanting magic into an object or being in order to fundamentally change their abilities. It is one of the most difficult types of magic to master, and some suspect it was used by the gods to weave magic into the fabric of the world. Imbuement magic is cast by weaving magic into an object during or after its creation, with the latter being significantly more difficult. Imbuement magic is also significantly harder to use on living beings and tends to fade far quicker than imbuing an object. When an object or person is imbued with magic, it becomes independent and draws on a separate source of magical energy than its original caster. Anything imbued with magic will eventually require recharging once they run out of this energy, though they usually hold a store of energy which allow them to function for a long period of time. Sometimes, the magic imbuing an object can completely disappear, leaving it in its original form. Temporary imbuement is much easier than permanent imbument because of the lack of need for a sophisticated store of magic.
