Alchemical Magic
Alchemical magic, also called scientific magic, artificery, and many other names, is a way of using magic and the elements in tandem to cast spells. While alchemical magic has less flexibility than other methods of casting and indeed cannot cast as many spells, it uses less magic and more science, and is therefore useful in a variety of different ways. There are some tasks which are infinitely easier to use alchemy for than using a regular spell.
