Grim Snowdrop
The Grim Snowdrop, a small flower that grows in clusters, is a symbol of Sognir, the Syolladver god of magic and innovation.
They look very much like common snowdrops, only the tips of the petals are black and the stalks are much darker. They grow over large areas in small clusters and carry a tiny magical aura.
They first appeared in Farathin at the beginning of the War of Frost, when Sognir and his sister Rogna combined their power to fog-curse the aspect.

History
Grim Snowdrops only became a widely spread plant five hundred years after they first appeared, when Rogna fell in the Battle of the Lavender Wind in the Fields of Elysium. Sognir, filled with the grief of losing his sister, created a massive wave of power that was felt in all the planes. The Grim Snowdrops that grow all across Syoll are echoes of that grief.Geographic Distribution
Although found almost everywhere in Syoll, Grim Snowdrops grow most commonly in Farathin. They especially thrive in colder environments as well as places where magic is often used.
