Nelrid
Nelrid is a gruff and classically trained blacksmith from Asheria. Found as an egg by a group of carpenter dwarfs, the dragonborn enjoys nothing more than working. Keeping to himself and coming from a small township in the Asherian lands, Nelrid isn't antisocial as much as he does not spent time cultivating relationships. Happy enough in front of a hot forge, the only periods he will pause is to eat, sleep, or read. There are bouts where one can find him in a social mood but his default demeanor is a low growl of displeasure being interrupted.
Nelrid is trained well enough in his craft but his brash and stoic demeanor makes him quite unlikeable to those who deal with him in passing. Oddly enough, the dragonborn makes a very good effort in his proactiveness of aiding others. This might be an indicator from his constant need to be working on projects without resting too much.
While at the forge, Nelrid dons a simple apron to hang and hold his tools. Thick padded gloves help with the heat but his scales provide much of the protection needed from the hot cinders. When not working, he prefers to wrap himself in royal colored robes with a simple pin. His affinity for jewelry is always on display with rings and bands in his scaly locks.

General Physical Condition
While Nelrid is overall a robust example of his race, the dragonborn has suffered a major injury in the form of a gnoll attack on his life while defending a friend. This injury has caused his non dominant arm to be severed from his shoulder.
Special abilities
Nelrid can exhale a cone of swirling red and orange flames from his throat, due to his draconic ancestry. While this ability is quite an impressive act, he rarely utilizes it so flippantly as Nelrid believes needless displays of power is dishonorable and a waste of resources.
The dragonborn has also learned from his dwarven family how to focus his inner flames to Heat Metal and how to Mend minor cracks and chips within metals and stonework.

Likes & Dislikes
- Nelrid has a fondness for various gemstones and will consider them for payment over currency and local tender. While many dragonborn carry this fondness, bringing this fact up to Nelrid is in poor taste and accusations of racism to his people will ensure he does not aid with any type of work in the future.

While Nelrid has a calm and even tempered demeanor, he can become quite violent when brought to a pain point. One thing that seems to set Nelrid off are those who are deceptive or caught lying to him. Once he has boiled over, it takes a lot to get him to calm down.

Religious Views
While Nelrid follows the traditions and beliefs aligned towards devotees of Ignem, the God of Flame and Creation and Coraxumn, the God of Mountains and Earth, much of this is lip service that comes from his upbringing. Learning more of his people's enslavement and struggles against dragons within another realm has turned the dragonborn away from worship. He believes that if the pantheon is willing, they will grant him strength without him cowing towards the divine.
