The Choir of Celestial Bodies
"Glory to He,
Who sang unto us the Song of the Sun and Moon,
Who sang unto us the Song of planets aligned,
Blessed is He,
May he be unforgotten."
Structure
The Choir of Celestial bodies was originally structured to have Soluhn at the head, as their Father, and the nine seats beneath Him as His seraphim, His chosen children to guide the rest of the Doves beneath them.
After Soluhn's death, the Choir is structured in a similar way, although Michael is the new Father, and chose the Seraphim beneath Him.
Culture
The Choir of Celestial bodies venerates the memory of Soluhn above all things, believing that only his vision for the Song was the correct one. As such, they tend to look down on other choirs, and bands, believing that they either operate outside of the proper way of things, or that they seek to harm reality.
The belief that the Choir took most from their Father is the belief that Earth and its people must be protected, believing them to carry some kind of special spark within them moreso than any other form of life that may have evolved throughout the universe. They will actively make war with even other choirs that seek to undermine this protection.
Public Agenda
The Choir of Celestial Bodies seeks to maintain the protection of earth's people, through force if necessary. The only mandate their father passed on to them was that they must smite evil wherever they see it, whether it be man, angel, demon, or beast.
Assets
As one of the first choirs at the beginning of creation, the Choir of Celestial Bodies has amassed a truly immense amount of wealth an materials, mostly measured in the Celestial Silver and Rot Iron that they've accrued over the ages. As one of the oldest, and largest, choirs, the holdings of the Choir are vast, dwarfing most other choirs in scale and depth of fortification.
History
The Choir of Celestial Bodies was one of the First Choirs to be created, when Soluhn began singing of His children. After the creation of His children, the Celestial War began.
During the Celestial War, the Choir of Celestial Bodies was one of those on the front lines at almost all times, first leading the charge against demonic forces, then against The Choir of the Final Dirge. The choir was a force to be reckoned with, and the mere word of their arrival would sometimes prompt an enemy's retreat.
After the Celestial War, Soluhn devoted himself entirely to the protection and development of the growing people of earth. His daughter, Vestalla, would grow to resent his caring for the mortals, seeing them as beneath the choir.
Eventually, Vestalla would lead a rebellion against Soluhn after casting down Eldraeon, plucking his eyes from his head. She would rapidly begin winning the war, with Rafael, Talderos, Michael, and Jestarin at her side. Gabriel would give one of his eyes to Eldraeon, but also secretly curse him to mishear his Father. Eldraeon would return to heaven, killing Talderos and Jestarin, and deeply wounding both Rafael and Michael before going to assist his father. He would find Vestalla dead, and his Father dying. With his dying words, he would express his regrets for his treatment of Edlraeon, but Eldraeon would not hear him, cursed as he was.
After the death of Soluhn, the remaining Seraphim would try to sit upon the Throne, needing to maintain the edicts of Heaven. As Rafael sat, he would cast the earth into great storms of flame and rage, and as Eldraeon took the seat, he would bring forth great storms of rain and thunder, washing away the fire. Michael alone was fit fo rthe chair.
Long after the Civil War in his choir, Eldraeon would discover that Gabriel and Rafael were planning the demise of humanity, in an effort to starve The One That Lurks Between the Stars. They would attempt to recruit him. Eldraeon would kill Gabriel, and pursue Rafael as he fled heaven. Never again would Eldraeon have the Grace of his Choir, as he set out to destroy whatever evils he could find.
So Michael would be alone in heaven, all of His siblings dead or gone, and would set to make something of what He has been left with.
