Bryony Paquem was born at the beginning of the 32nd century APC into the aristocratic oligarchy known as the High Gardeners who were the rulers of Highloft in that age.
She became a protégé of Zhao Yun Chi and travelled with Clarise Vabatan to Myruthea to aid her escape (via Highloft), after the Rani had fled into exile.
