Nanofabrication

Nanofabrication is a scientific process by which objects are taken apart and reassembled at the atomic level. Using a nanofabricator, a user can input raw materials and take out finished industrial products in mere minutes. Nanofabricators take the form of large cubes with attached computer terminals. The larger the cube, the larger the possible finished product.

Utility

Nanofabricators are designed to be able to create nearly any product. As long as a design has been saved in the nanofabricator's database, it can create any product.

Manufacturing

Raw materials matching the elemental structure of the desired finished product is inserted into the input slot in the fabricator. For example, if one wishes to create a framed glass window, one could put in a tree branch and a bucket of sand. If one wishes to create a car, a larger variety of raw elements must be acquired.
Access & Availability
Nanofabricators are large, complex machines that require significant technical knowledge to build. They also have high power requirements. The secrets of their creation are closely guarded by the scientists who own the patents in the Planetary Consortium. However, their use is still fairly widespread. Even Camp Nordic Frog has one.
