Kyrin Jemblar (a.k.a. The Shadow)
Often referred to as just “Ky” by his kinfolk. Stringy dirty blondish hair, and a slender unshaven face. Comes from a family of drunken, worthless, cowards. His father had previously defected from the recent military action and retired to sitting around and doing as little as possible while his mother tended to the garden and chickens. No education other than the common sense that he has gained from watching his family suffer and struggle through being lazy and stupid. He has a tendency once-in-a-while to think in terms of “I can get away with that” when others would think “I better just stop here” - even though his confidence sometimes outweighs his skill. Kyrin takes pride in his ability to use small hand tools and is inquisitive about the possibility of learning a new craft or hobby someday and making something of himself.
