Nishrek
Homeland of the Orcs, Nishrek is an especially large cube in Avalas. Its surface resembles a harsh wilderness, with several caverns leading into the interior. The River Styx also flows across this cube.
Geography
The surface of Nishrek is hard-packed earth. Its wide surface area makes impact sites more spaced out than smaller cubes, allowing it to support a denser growth of vegetation. Dense, brambly forests with deep roots offer some shelter from Acheron's chilling winds. Piles of rubble from previous impacts sometimes linger long enough to form hills and valleys.
Like most cubes, however, the majority of habitated space is belowground. While not quite as cave-riddled as Clangor, Nishrek supports a number of cavernous chambers which support settlements for the sapient population.
Ecosystem Cycles
This cube collides more commonly than others in the system, but due to its bulk and the protective growth of surface flora, the cube itself does not sustain much damage.
Fauna & Flora
Nishrek's surface is primarily evergreen forest, through which the River Styx winds, occasionally broadening into pools. Ogres, Trolls, and bestial wildlife such as wild dogs roam these woods, as well as native Hellwasps.
Below the surface, the sapient population shares Nishrek's caverns with a species of Dragon unique to Avalas - Rust Dragons.
