Sky Resin
The gnome town of Brightbluff on the mountain of Shanlag has recently developed a new resin composite for flying ships. It is made from pine resin and Floating Granite as well as several other minor elements. It is then molded into parts that is lighter than Floating granite but with the magic boyancy. This matters as it allows for visually lighter craft, without the massive blocks of granite and iron or brass bandings that connect to the various shells of the ship. Sky Resin can just be cast into panels that are just part of the ship instead of a massive core out outlier. If it can scale in production, it would make ships much easier to build. This is especially true for small scale flying ships. Historically it was hard to build small aerial vessels as there was almost a minimum size to be economically efficient of at least a 40-50ft long barge or caravel.
Since the crash of the mystic engines there have been few skyships. With sky resin it could well begin to reverse that to make sky ships more common again.

Utility
This material has made Sky Wings feasible at reasonable volume, which is a new vehicle that can carry 2-3 people or small amounts of cargo.
This innovation is becasue these vehicles can use Mystic Engines that don't use newer Tealtcra crystals can be used for sky ships. This makes it easier to find parts and small engines that still functions to be able to propel ships.

Manufacturing
This biggest limitation is the casting process requires large molds that only do dozens of casts until having to be remade. Then the pots of resin have to be large to do single large castings. Larger infrastructure will be needed for larger ships.
