Sky Wings

Sky wings are personal or small transport vehicles that fly. Like Seawings this is a category of ship and not a particular model. They are currently produced in Brightbluff within the 5 mountains region of the Dependency of Golim. While production is currently slow, there is significant interest and funding coming from multiple organizations.
 

Simple Wing

The most basic model is designed for courier travel, and is being looked at by the Order of Bamboo and the Loremasters of the Omoikane among others. It can carry one or two people and small amounts of cargo. It can operate as long as the courier can maintain themselves awake and capable of steering. Much faster than horses or Cartaries over land as there is no fatigue and no weaving through terrain. While slower than ocean vessels over water and river, they are not restricted by access to rivers or ports. The operator and passenger are standing for the duration of flight, and exposed to the elements. Goggles, hats, and thick woolen suits are recommended for travel as the wind and height can make things quite cold.
 

Passenger Wing

The larger variants can hold a pilot and three to four passengers. These models have seats for both the pilot and passenger. With a slightly higher speed they are less nimble and require more space to land. They still have limited cargo space and are fairly open to the weather.
 

Future Development

The hope is to create small skyships next, the scaling of parts and casting or more complex assembly makes this a project still under development. They may not cary the Sky Wing naming as they will be in many ways similar to past sky ship styles and designations.
