Land of Titans

Each District is managed by a Mother Superior with an attendant Bride of Titans. The Bride of Titans then also commands the Titanborn elemental constructs, used for construction and defense.

On a national level the Congress of Sorolis has 50 members, with additional votes that can be made by the district representatives. All members and representatives are female, and they are headed by the Titan Mother who acts as the executive of the nation. It is only open to those who are descendants of the fifteen widows blessed with the titanborn control abilities. She is assisted by five counselors also with the titanborn control powers.

Clothing will often follow the dominant culture of the individual, however it is in fashion for women who rule or manage enterprises to emphasize their female figure. Leathers and linens are commonly available fabrics, and a muted color pallet is currently most common. Large patterns feature prominently.

Architecture is dominated by estates with central courtyards and furnished aqueducts to bring in fresh water from the hills.

The memorial of the Titan's gift is held at the summer solstice, with the removal of men from the city for three days. The act of divining the future is practiced as easy meals are prepared for eating while watching pageants, recitals and plays. The men will usually fast the three days and engage in competitions of strength. (Those men serving as security with the commanders of titanborn are the exception)

About 100 descendants capable of summoning and commanding titanborn. These are used for public works and defense and quite good at doing so. While half are in the main cities, the others are spread around the nation, working as ambassadors or staffing border crossings.

The Spiroita are the formal military of the Land of Titans. They serve as guards and border patrol. They are predominantly infantry as the heavier tasks are handled by the elemental titanborn. In all honesty the fear of the titanborn, and good public relations with lots of civil infrastructure have meant there has been little military need. This means that the units are not well battle tested, and the young military is poorly trained for all out war.

Several good roads make wagon and horse travel easy. The northern and southern port cities have well made ports for trade. Much of their trade comes from industries aided by labor provided by the titanborn. The large forges and cheese caves were all built by the titanborn. Their demand for good stone is significant, and local quarries do not have the best stone for all their building projects.
