Questions and Answers

What must I know when I have multiple characters?
  1. You MUST declare which character number is your character in your Character Profile. You can find this information in your Character Index (cf. "Experience" in Additional Informations).
Example: Bobby is my main character, in my first character slot, Bobby is "Character 1". Additionally, I added Jimmy when Bobby hit level 5, Jimmy is "Character 2"
  2. Your alt can only RP when interacting between your characters. You cannot trade, fight, own property/ships/businesses/etc between your own characters. You cannot give help action, you cannot cast guidance, enhance, or even a healing spell to help them out. You can only RP between your alt and your main.
Example: Bobby is my main, Jimmy is my alt. Jimmy is in dire need of help and needs an item that Bobby has. Bobby can NOT give Jimmy this item, but he CAN tell him to go ask someone else.
  3. You can not RP with an alternative character when your main is on a quest and vice versa. This is so you give your full attention to your GM and the quest they worked on. If you are caught doing so, rewards may be forfeited, or upon decision of the Mod team, you migh be sanctioned.
Example: Bobby is on a quest made by Gandalf. Gandalf notices that Jimmy is roleplaying somewhere else, and he knows Bobby and Jimmy are the same player. Gandalf is free to choose to take away the rewards of Bobby.

Anything about spells and scrolls?
  1. Casting Divine Intervention or Wish MUST be seen and ran through a GM. You can request this by creating a thread about it in the "Help" forum of the server.
  2. Anyone can use a spell scroll. However, if the spell is of a higher level than you can normally cast, you have to make an INT check DC 10+{spell level} or else the cast fails and the scroll is destroyed.
  3. Spells that require one full year of casting to make permanent only require 30 IRL days of casting.

What is the "Legacy System"?

Once a character has reached Level 15, they can choose to "legacy" instead of retiring their character. This lets them have these permanent perks for the character slot said character used to be in.

Upon legacy, you are allowed to:

  1. Write a short biography of your character in the "Hall of Legends", said biography will be published in the World Anvil afterwards, anchoring your character in the lore forever.
  2. The next characters to use the slot the legacied character was in get these free perks:
    - Starting either at Level 1 or 3.
    - 50 Shards.
    - 500 Gold pieces.
    - One free Feat or ASI.
  3. You may submit a homebrew item to be added to the Homebrew Stash of the server.
  4. Then, you can only RP with the legacied character. You are not allowed to help other players, give them gold, Shards, or items, etc. Though your remaining Shards and gold can be used on yourself.

Example: Bobby just hit Level 15, Bobby legacies. Bobby's player wants a new character after Bobby, since his slot is now free. He introduces Jimmy. Jimmy decides to start at Level 3, and to claim 50 Shards, 500 Golds and the Chef feat. However, Bobby can now only walk around and talk to people; he is retired. Bobby can spend his remaining Gold and Shards on solo vacations around the world or treat himself with tons of cake. He cannot buy Carl the brand new Jordan Dior that Carl needs.

Occasionally, GMs might run "Legacy Quests", where legacied characters will be allowed to partake in. After these Legacy Quests, they can claim either of these rewards for their legacied character:
- One feat or ASI
- One level up (if not Level 20 yet)
- One Epic Boon from the list below, and if only approved by a GM (this reward is rare).
- Boon of Combat Prowess - Boon of Dimensional Travel - Boon of Fate - Boon of Fortitude - Boon of Immortality - Boon of Invincibility - Boon of Irresistible Offense - Boon of Luck - Boon of Magic Resistance - Boon of Peerless Aim - Boon of Perfect Health - Boon of Planar Travel - Boon of Recovery - Boon of Resilience - Boon of Speed - Boon of the Fire Soul - Boon of the Night Spirit - Boon of the Stormborn - Boon of the Unfettered - Boon of Truesight - Boon of Undetectability -
