"Systems! Get me Systems! Systems! Protocol Closed Harbour! I say again! Protocol Closed Harbour Now! Sensors detect radiation and thermal spikes consistent with multiple supernovas! We have a complete loss of communications with HSTG! PROTOCOL CLOSED HARBOUR NOW OR WE'RE GOING TO DIE!"

~ Hyperspace Transport Grid Station Commander Rayan Hajjah-Jaafar, 23 June 12399 HE

Once, there was a thriving network of systems, linked by hyperspace gates that bent physics allowing the peoples of Sol to spread into the larger universe. Then it all came crashing down. The Great Stellar War, ended in an act of terror that nearly annihilated all the spaces Terrans had colonized. The Tanit system found itself cut off and alone. Unable to communicate with Sol or the other systems, its peoples assumed the worst, and began to rebuild. This is the world of their descendants as they reach to the stars again!

The Future is Awesome

What are The Chronicles of Tanit all about? What makes it more than just another sci-fi setting?

Exploration!

The realities of survival meant that exploration took a backseat until there was some stability. Now though? Governments, private interests, and universities alike are pushing out to learn as much about the Tanit System and others as they can, and their discoveries are changing the world.

Conflict!

Not everyone agrees on how things are going, what resources are available to who, or even what kind of future they should be moving towards. Politics (civil and corporate), piracy, espionage, brushfire wars, and shadow conflicts are all part of the scene.

Survival!

Tanit II, Kushor, is a water world with all the hazards and risks that implies above and below the surface. Outer space is inherently hostile. Alien worlds are filled with alien things that may or may not be hazardous to terran life. Life outside of the settlements can be risky, and the wise recognize the hazards that exist.

Life!

The Chronicles of Tanit isn't just a background for adventures, it's a setting where the slice of life happens alongside heists, fights, mysteries, comedy, and even horror. The Chronicles of Tanit are also unapologetically diversity and supportive of the diversity that makes life now, and in the future, Awesome!
