Session 1 - The Driftwood Rejects
General Summary
The party began the session chained with sea-stone shackles in the brig of an Empire slave galley.
An unnatural storm appeared and began to batter the ship. This storm was soon followed by cannon fire.
The party managed to free themselves from the brig before the ship capsized. The ship was then stuck by several bolts of lightning. Before blacking out the last thing the party saw was a blinding light and the water around them turned a blood red.
The party awoken sometime later on a beach. Some crates had washed up along the shore that contained their belongings. A small camp was set up not to far from the shore but was occupied only by corpses. A map found in the camp made note of a ship hidden somewhere in a cave on the island which the party decided to head towards.
Some strange shadow dogs attacked the party as they get near a cave but the party managed to fend them off. A smuggler's keelboat is found in the cave the dogs were guarding and after foiling an ambush attempt from a sea hag and some sea spawn the party laid claim to it and named it The Driftwood.
Serge found the sea hag's lair and some treasure she had hidden with in it, some coin and jewellery, a ring of feather falling and a finely crafted flintlock pistol which likely once belonged to a naval officer from The Empire. The party spent some time gathering supplies to stock the ship before setting sail. The party set a course for Corsair Cove and were just pulling into port at the sessions end.
