3.2 Free Seas

Northern Moot Point

(April 10th – July 30th, Year 41 2023)

The Cold Hearth:

The Company set into the frozen seas to deal with the Ramstad Clan as the crew as they tried to sort through the frozen hearth. The crews would have a hard time learning much from the frigid Wyrmskull as they fought with some of the clan, and tried to understand the more fanatical witches among them. The crew pressed on in their attempts at diplomacy with the crew as they dispatched the crazed, and were at times a bit envious of their ability to endure the cold.

Blackmore Favor:

This event was lost to time... Though the Company would learn in time that Lord Blackmore held the grip on Northrend for the Alliance as the efforts spread to the other islands in the years since the campaigns in the frigid north.

The Rites to Hunt:

As the crews made their way over to the eastern side of the northern wilds they would head for Harkor's Camp. The crew wished to treat with the Wildling Clan as they encountered worgen attacking the Wyrmskull. The crew would have to help hunt down any who survived the worgen, or the mistakes of the mercenaries running after them.

The Hands In Motion:

The Blackwater Company rested in the Hollow a large collection of Wyrmskull in the hollowed out Livingwood Tree and learned of Nekon the leader of the Wolf Pack in the area. The crews would try to liberate the wildlings while putting down the Alliance, and worgen that ran amok in the forest.

Let Dead Dogs Lie:

After helping the Wildling clan free themselves of the Alliance forces, and the worgen the company learned of something else in the lands. The crews learned of the Blue Sky Trading Company to the west as they journeyed to the region they would find a vault beneath the cliffs in the camp. The crews would encounter deadly creatures, and the dogs that patrolled the region having to be put to the sword before the company unearthed their prize.

Pawn Takes Queen:

The crew gathered in the Rusty Nail to review the threat in Northrend, and decide what clan they wished to pursue diplomacy with next. The crew in this conversation caught up with the happenings, and the dangers of the Blue Sky and decided to go further west to the Watercrest Clan.

Watercrest of Northolme:

The Company moved swiftly to try to aid the Watercrest Clan as they were in deep with the Alliance forces coming after them. The crews would gain a lot more respect from the crew as they dodged lethal scouts of the alliance, and beasts that would swallow them whole.

A Coin To Remember:

After the crew moved to secure the Watercrest Clan they would learn that the phylactery was not destroyed and needed to move to secure the camp from the dead... The crews worked hard and eventually were able to end the damned as the evidence began to rise of the Blue Sky's mark across the continent.

One Off The List:

The crew moved to the tundra to deal with the Exiled clan venturing to the southwest of Northolme into Borean Tundra they would go to the ruins along the shore to find the damned had the clan in its vice. The crews would cut down the kvaldir as they moved and quickly learned that there was no diplomacy for the dead. As the crew was ambushed by the longboats running the ships to shore, and Investor's Bank ships as they fought hard against them.

The War Path:

After being ambushed the crew set out a blockade loosely around the known shipping lanes of Northrend and sounded the alarm as the net caught three ships trying to skirt through the blockade. The company would run down the Ashfall Clan off the southern coast of Dragonblight, and quickly the crews would dismantle the ships that were quite durable and endured damage that forced the crews to retreat to repair.

We Saw Them Burn:

The Company moved to the Ashfall Clan and saw the clan engaged in a fierce battle and the camps were on fire as they tried to sway them away from the Storm King. The company had to deal with the damned as they quickly amassed in the camp and became a problem as they rode out to meet them. Houses burned as the Ashfall agreed to work with the Blackwater Company.

There Are No Angels Left:

The company left the current Storm King to struggle with his people, and tried to meet with Eivor after the crews captured his daughter, cut off supplies, allies, and hope the crews would send in aid after attacking the area to bait them to their side. The crews would try to parley with the Wyrmskull as the Alliance tried to send a message with their prisoners.

Justice:

The company set forth to meet with the new Storm King hopeful as they captured the daughter, and cut off all of his allies the company set forth two ships of humanitarian efforts as they were ambushed by the Doomed Harvest as the crews quickly changed their path and tried to help the Wyrmskull as Lorna Edwards sacked Utgarde before being cut down by the Company.

Legacy:

Between April 10th and July 30th, Year 41 (2023), the Northern Moot Point Campaign marked one of the most ambitious undertakings of the Free Seas since the days of the Black Bandanna. What began as a mission of diplomacy in the frigid northern waters became a proving ground for endurance, strategy, and the Company’s resolve to hold together a continent fractured by war and superstition.

The Company’s efforts forged unlikely truces with wildling clans, toppled vampyric and worgen-infested warlords, and disrupted the lingering influence of both the Alliance and Blue Sky Trading across the continent. The Company’s blockade along Northrend’s southern coast became a symbol of maritime dominance — a statement that the Free Seas had returned to power and would not yield their claim to the northern routes.

Still, the campaign’s legacy endures as a testament to Blackwater’s adaptability. Through blood and frost, they shifted from pirates to power brokers, wielding negotiation as deftly as cannonfire. Their actions unified fractured clans, disrupted the economic stranglehold of the Investor’s Bank, and proved that no empire could claim dominion over the Free Seas.

The Northern Moot Point would forever be remembered as the campaign that tempered the Free Seas, reforging the Company’s purpose in the coldest heart of Azeroth. Where gold and steel once ruled, now stood iron will and shared survival, the truest currency of the north.
