Peri was recruited to the Visage at a young age along with her best friend (a fellow mutant named Cinder). As they grew up, Peri decided she no longer wanted to be bound to the group after one too many near-death experiences, even in training, and convinced her friend to defect with her. They made a deal with the BHP to trade secrets/tech for protection.
The plan backfired as the BHP turned on them, aiming to capture the two in addition to taking their offer. The Visage soon realized their betrayal and Peri found herself pursued by both groups. Her friend was lost during their escape and is presumed to be dead.
Peri is very untrusting of most people, but gathered enough courage to trust John Saxon in her attempt to hide. He managed to get her settled in T-Town for a time. Recently, she's begun seeing agents within the area, too close for comfort, and so she seeks a new home. She's heard rumors of a new settlement built for her kind. While some might seek it for community, she has no interest in making friends. All she wants is to be safe from those who hunt her.
