The Order of the Dawnbringer
The Order believes in redemption through pain as much as they do the Dawnbringer. Because of their self-destructive practices of warship, people believed them to be too extreme and feared they would convert their children and have them kill themselves. So to avoid a bloody conflict, the Order moved to an isolated spot in the mountains where they can be left alone and forgotten by the rest of Great Eethill.
Form of Worship
Redemption Through Pain
The Order believes that, if you make a mistake or fail, you can make up for it by the sensation of pain. This could be in tinier forms such as pinching, to as extreme as stabbing or whipping. Those who betray the Order (whether it be by accident or purposeful) and regretted it would kill themselves in devotion. They do this to remember the pain the Dawnbringer felt while igniting the sun and knowing how much he went through to get us here and how much we owe it to him to do right and not fail him.Eye For An Eye
A more recent belief is that losing your left eye is good luck as it's the one both Dawnbringer and Isac lost. However, losing your right eye is a sign to retire from the Euclid Guard and become a normal worshiper. Those who go into combat with their right eye missing is a recipe for death.History
The origin of the Order is long forgotten and existed since the Mythological Era. In 23 A.G., the Order moved to the western mountains of Great Eethill.Isac Arno Obenslaughter
One day, the Order had a strange visitor. An Urman in his teenage years was wandering the mountains and found the temple by complete accident. He found an interest in the Order and they took him in. The man that'd become his mentor, Ra, was a high-ranking member of the Order. He believed that Isac, the Urman, would be the one to kill Scias and avenge Dawnbringer's death. From that day, Isac would go by Faruk (the name of the Dawnbringer). It was later discovered by Isac that he was in fact the reincarnation of the Dawnbringer, but not until 100 A.G. after the Order was destroyed. The Order's Destruction
The temple was attacked by the Cultists of Fate's End who were led by Scias. The only surviving member was Faruk, who took his mentor's blade and set out to find the cultists responsible and avenge his fellow acolytes.Alternate Worshipers
The Euclid Guard
Formed in 103 A.G., the Euclid Gard are a group of worshipers who protect the Dawnbringer and his position as King of Urmany.
