Sea Stone
Sea Stone is a sedimentary rock that was created with the corpse of a Merfolk. When it enters some velocity, it moves as if the water wasn't there. Without the friction from water, Sea Stone is commonly used for ammunition for underwater militaries or adventurers and for vessel modifications for ships.
Properties
Material Characteristics
This rock is shiny and appears to have turquoise scales.
Physical & Chemical Properties
Water Resistance. When the rock gains velocity, it ignores the drag of the water. For example, if you threw a pebble underwater it would stop not feet away from you and sink. But if you throw a pebble made of Sea Stone, it will move like it isn't underwater.
Geology & Geography
This stone can be found at the bottom of the ocean, most commonly in ancient Merfolk graveyards.
Origin & Source
This stone is created by fossilized Merfolk scales being pressed together between sediment.
History & Usage
Everyday use
For those who live under the sea, this stone is used for ammunition and ranged weapons parts. Merfolk slingshots have their bands dusted in Sea Stone and have a small spiked pellet also carved from Sea Stone. As for above sea level, ship makers use the stone on the underside of vessels to make the go faster. However, not many used this technique outside of the The Requian Coast.
