Ideals

Beauty Ideals

Totorenians who were tall and had equal sized tendrils were generally attractive. now for males they wore long robes and dyed the tips of their tendrils a variety of colors and even would color their tusks with different patterns to come off as wealthy or stylish. Females would wear very revealing clothing but they did not show their gills and they covered their faces as to not be seen as whorish females and of higher class.

Courtship Ideals

Males who desired a wife would wear long jewelery and would put a bone tattoo on their horns of the pattern of seeking a wife and then when they get married they would finish the tattoo to show that they were married. now for a Totorenian male to ask a woman for a hand in marriage he must first provide a dowery for her with a large bounty of fish or the skins of animals equal to the weight of herself or in some cases the weight of her and her mother and her sisters combined.

Relationship Ideals

They were monogamous and did not remarry except females could remarry if their husbands had died but they could only marry a male that belonged to their first husband's clan. ironic as males would eventually sacrifice their wives after they begat them their first set of children.
