Angellonian Commander
The Commander is the 2nd highest rank after captain in the Angellonian army. earned after many years of service and high combat prowess they are strong willed leaders who will always make sure their missions are a success.
There are always 8 Commanders in each tribe.
Qualifications
must have gone through the ranks up to captain and fought in many battles. they also must be medically well.
Requirements
Required to be Male and have achieved captain rank.
Appointment
The tribe father of the new commander's tribe will give them their new arm band and uniform and a "Helmet" for their position of power.
Duties
Their duties are to serve "The Divine One" and bring glory to the Empire, fighting all enemies of the Empire and winning battles.
they must take full responsibility for any defeats on the battlefield (unless someone else volunteers responsibility) and as usual "Death before Dishonor".
Responsibilities
They are to orchestrate the tides of warfare and to fight on the battlefield when called to and are to make sure battles are won under their leadership.
Benefits
They are seen as highly respected, honorable members of society. they do sometimes give advice to The General and are allowed to override the control of power of the General if he is in a condition that prevents him from leading the armies such as a coma or disease.
Accoutrements & Equipment
they are given the commander's uniform (armor) which covers more like gladiator armor, not much protection on the right side of the body and mostly armor on the left side of the body and the legs with clawed sandals and fingerless gloves. they also are given two wrist blade gauntlets for both arms and a wrist computer modification on the left gauntlet. the body armor also covers the spines, some of the neck and the shoulders. only the belly, the right side of the ribs and some of the right arm is exposed. they are given a new armband with their new rank on it and a loincloth with their tribe's color and symbol on it.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
Heresy, blasphemy, treason and dishonorable actions against the Empire such as surrendering.
Cultural Significance
They are very great, decorated soldiers of the Empire to the Angellonians and are seen as things of nightmares to non-Angellonians for their combat prowess and their fearsome appearance. they are intimidating even to the most bravest of warriors.
Notable Holders
Ashakraiel, Bolodov, Vulkenar, Zakaraia are the only four commanders who are prophets of "The Divine One" and each come from the same tribe of the Zhedakm with Spartian ancestry.
