Kahg

Kahg emerges as a formidable stronghold within the rugged embrace of the Dragonspine mountain range, distinctively marking its presence on the less trodden side of the Frostvein River. This isolation has transformed Kahg into a bastion of resilience, embodying the indomitable spirit of the orcs who have been relegated to its confines.

Demographics

Despite its isolation, Kahg is not a relic of the past but a simmering cauldron of ambition. The Bloodmoon Clan trains relentlessly, their warriors honing skills in the art of war, preparing for the day they will once again march under their banners. The town has also become a haven for those seeking refuge from the more civilized parts of Steerbright, as well as a gathering point for mercenaries, exiles, and those seeking to learn the ways of war from seasoned veterans.

Infrastructure

The town itself is a testament to orcish craftsmanship and survival instinct, carved out of and into the mountain's base. Its structures are robust, built to withstand the harsh mountain climate and potential sieges. The town's layout is strategic, with winding paths and fortified positions that exploit the natural terrain for defense. Central to its community is the imposing War Hall, a grand structure serving as both meeting place and arsenal, its walls adorned with the heraldry of the banished clan and trophies from past conflicts.

Assets

Kahg's special attribute lies in its forges, where blacksmiths have begun to rediscover ancient techniques lost in the defeat. Utilizing the unique minerals mined from the depths of the Dragonspine, they craft weapons and armor of exceptional quality, imbuing them with the ferocity and resilience of the Bloodmoon Clan. These items have started to draw attention, suggesting that Kahg might once again rise, not just as a military threat, but as a cultural and economic force within orc society.

History

Kahg's inhabitants are descendants of the Bloodmoon Clan, a once-powerful faction that dared to challenge the Bloodfang's dominion over Steerbright. The clash was bloody, and the defeat was utter. Banished to the fringes of orc society, the Bloodmoon Clan was forced to eke out an existence in the shadow of the mountains, far from the orcish heartlands. Yet, this defeat has not quelled their fiery spirit. Under the leadership of a charismatic yet ruthless chieftain, they have slowly been rebuilding their strength, harboring aspirations of retribution and a return to power.

Geography

The Frostvein River, a chilling barrier between Kahg and the rest of Steerbright, serves as both a moat and a lifeline. Its icy waters are rich in fish, providing sustenance, while the singular large bridge that spans its width stands as the only official gateway to the outside world, heavily guarded and watched at all times.
