Goat Boys
“They’re not a cult, not really. But you wouldn’t know that from the way they chant his name. See, a Toady uses fear like a stick. Kazpur? He uses it like glue.”
Origins and Identity of the Goat Boys
The Goat Boys are the personal hit squad, enforcers, and black-bag team of Kazpur Gooding, Minion of the Hyperion Crime Ring. They operate primarily on Terra, though their membership comes from across Saturnian and Jovian settlements—imported muscle with no ties and no support systems, exactly the type of men Kazpur prefers: strong, desperate, damaged, and easy to control.
Originally called Kazpur’s Klan, the group rebranded by accident. During the early days of his subspace “dabbling,” Kazpur attempted to rename his crew “Goetia”—but pronounced it “Goat-yeah.” His men, half illiterate and half high on Combat Stims, heard only “Goat Boys,” and the name stuck. By the time Kamalam corrected his pronunciation, the crew had already purchased goat-horn masks and begun chanting their mascot.
Kazpur very nearly forced a rebrand—but the masks terrified people. And fear, as always, is good for business.
Recruitment and Indoctrination
Kazpur hand-picks his Goats, preferring three qualities above all:
- Brute strength – ex-bouncers, failed athletes, amateur fighters, factory loaders
- Low impulse control – ideal for sudden violence
- High stimulant tolerance – useful for running long operations, terrible for long-term health
He intentionally targets:
- Steroid abusers
- Combat stim addicts
- Washed-out soldiers
- Disposable Criminal veterans
- Street enforcers too violent for subtler bosses
Kazpur offers them:
- Drugs
- Excitement
- A cut of the take
- A purpose
- Someone to fear
He gives nothing else.
The Goat Boys believe Kazpur’s “magic” is real. Some are fully cult-bound, convinced the symbols, chants, and rituals he uses can call up literal demons. Others simply follow the strongest violent man they’ve ever met. All understand one thing: cross him and die screaming.
Appearance and Equipment
The Goat Boys’ signature look is a blend of street-gang flash, Criminal practicality, and occult theater:
Armor & Clothing
- Black bioplastic jackets and pants
- Look like leather
- Light, flexible
- Embedded polymers resist stabbing and low-caliber rounds
- Gold and silver chains
- Ostentatious, meaningless
- Sometimes hung with charms, sigils, or random occult symbols
- PPD (Personal Point Defense)
- Cheap, semi-reliable anti-projectile mesh
- Can deflect low-velocity rounds or reduce damage
Masks
- Full black bioplastic cowl
- Angular cheek pieces
- Rigid or semi-rigid curling goat horns
- Painted “extra eyes,” sigils, or gore
- Minimal real Protection, but excellent for:
- Anonymity
- Terror
- Group identity
Weapons
Primarily:
- 15mm homemade gyroc launchers
- Standard, explosive, and incendiary rounds
- No exotic munitions (too expensive)
- Acid mines hidden in grips for easy disposal
- Cheap pistols, SMGs, knives
- Sledgehammers, pipes, and shock-clubs for close-in terror work
The Goats are not elite; they are overwhelming, brutal, and reckless.
Tactics & Operations
The Goat Boys excel in:
- Intimidation
- Bursts of overwhelming violence
- Night raids
- Enforcement of Kazpur’s financial rackets
- Burning out opposition
- “Punitive heists” (as statement and spectacle more than profit)
- Guarding Kazpur’s territory and assets
- Cleaning up after botched HCG operations
Kazpur prefers decisive cruelty. The Goat Boys are quick to:
- Shoot first
- Torch property
- Beat confessions out of people
- Stage occult “rituals” for intimidation
- Leave sigils or goat masks behind as warnings
They operate under the delusion that Kazpur’s occult bluster is a real supernatural force. After the Hellfire Cabal incident, many are now terrified that he actually can summon beings from “the other side,” which only strengthens their loyalty.
Internal Structure
Though Kazpur is the ultimate Authority, the Goat Boys maintain an internal pecking order:
- Kazpur – unquestioned alpha
- Minions – the lieutenants; enforce Kazpur’s will
- Goat Boys (full members) – the hit squad proper
- Kids (Bootlicks) – temporary recruits, expendable muscle
Goat Boys who survive long enough sometimes become Minions, but turnover is high—and the work is lethal.
The Goat Boys’ Reputation
Among Criminal circles:
- Feared
- Considered unstable but effective
- Misunderstood as occultists
- Known for brutality
Among law enforcement:
- Considered a top-tier enforcement arm of HCG
- High casualty rate in firefights
- Surprisingly loyal to their Minion
- A liability waiting to collapse into failure—or subspace disaster
Among civilians:
- Monsters wearing goat faces
