Iban Acacias
Iban Acacias (34 Thargelion 14 IB – 9 Acacion 90 IB) was the first Emperor of the Berytusian Empire and Metropolitan of the Unbroken Church from 41 IB to his death in 90 IB. The adoptive son and biological nephew of Acacius, Iban Acacias played a central role in shaping the second generation of Emuna and shaping the orthodox positions of the religion. Despite his venerable reign and importance in theology, he has never been considered a saint, due in large part to his poor self control and troublesome last year of life. He was the only person to hold both the rank of Metropolitan and also Emperor of Berytus, and was the last metropolitan to have legal temporal power until Boutros III in 737. He was succeded as Metropolitan by Paul Simon and as Emperor of Berytus by his adoptive son Acacian.
