Apotheosis

Apotheosis is the process whereby a mortal being attains divinity (i.e. becoming a god). Apotheosis is the only known means whereby gods come into being, as distinct beings from Antiquities, and all gods were once mortal, living beings.   Apotheosis comes about through either the distribution of an Antiquity or god's own Nomos or the consumption of the whole body of the source. The god Sobekal was created from the first Saura male by Lothracha, having both the innate Nomos of Bekal as a Saura, and a distribution of Lothracha's. The exact means of distribution varies from case to case, and the exact meaning of the term "distribution" is highly disputed and vague. Efkaris obtained apotheosis by consuming the body of Eadhab, while Máni is sometimes said to have obtained apotheosis through sexual union with Beorn (though her divinity is disputed).
