The Coalition was once one of the nations being pulled into The Crown Federation. Though being greatly pressured to join, it resisted much coercion and still remains an independent state.
The other nations of the Federation took great offense to this dissension, as the Coalition was by far the most prosperous and powerful of them. Though some battles have taken place over this dispute, all-out war has perpetually remained just below the surface.
