Deity
A deity, also known as a god or goddess, is a powerful, semi-material being descending from and including The Elder Kin. They are the forces that created life on Tesia, populated the Material Realm, and indirectly govern most of nature. Their direct investment in the world varies greatly from deity to deity.
All deities are understood as the deity of a specific thing. This does not always refer to them as the creator of the thing, and more generally sees them as the governor or steward of it. Most of creation was fashioned by Bebedon and his sister Acivias, who then created descendants to watch over it. Many of them later contributed their own additions.
Origin
The original three deities, The Elder Kin, or whatever forces spawned them into existence, could arguably be classified as Primordials. However, the relative recency of their birth classifies them as a new thing entirely. How they came into being is unknown, and will likely never be understood, as no known Primordial is thought to be their creator. Although, some adhere to the belief that they are conjurations of Tesia itself.
Biology
The biology of a deity is strange, as they do not require physical bodies. They can, however, have numerous avatars of themselves active simultaneously. While they are usually not omniscient or omnipresent, these avatars allow them to extend their senses beyond what they normally might possess. Outside of this, they roam as an immaterial being within the Weave.
Deities cannot have children in the typical sense, and instead may create for themselves a maximum of two children (though this rule is broken in one known instance). Every time a child deity is created, the chance that the child will lack the ability to create more children in turn increases.
While the deities may bicker among themselves, there is only so much they can do to one another, as all deities lack the ability to kill other deities without help . Theoretically, another type of powerful being could kill a deity, though no such thing has ever occurred.
