Tin'ala
According to the histories of the long-lived elves and dwarves, Teryn was once a single supercontinent. At the end of the First Age, during an event various legends record as Last Days, End of Days, or something equally apocalyptic, this continent was sundered into the current map. Tin'ala represents the center-mass of the original continent.
It's roughly rectangular, measuring approximately 8,000km North-South and 7,800km East-West. Though with the erratic shape of the coastlines, inland lakes, and rivers, it's estimated to be about 55,000,000km square.
Tin'ala is known by the epithets Land of a Thousand Kingdoms and Land of Warring States. These are well earned because the continent is full of constantly changing numbers of city-states, petty kingdoms, nations, and wannabe empires. Each year, their borders shift as some declare independence, others are absorbed or conquered, and a few are destroyed in war.
