Hillside

Medium sized city north of New Reet City, marking the crossroads between NRC to the South, Kore to the West, and the towns of Lochenfall and Farloche to the North.   Being the main crossroads among several of the region's major cities, Hillside acts as a rest and resupply stop along the trade routes. It has a bustling industry of inns, taverns, merchants, crafters, and other service offerings managed by the various guilds that preside over the city, most of the area taken up by such establishments.

Government

Hillside is presided by a council of the highest ranking guild members from the town's many guild houses, specifically, the head and vice head of each guild.

Points of interest

  • Hillside Job Hall: Open job posting boards managed by the Wardens, located close to the top of Carthurst Rise
  • The Felled Firfox: Local bar run by the Band, frequented by the Wardens.

Geography

The surrounding area is relatively hilly grassland, nestled between Laigos Hills and the Genfreet Mountains. The city is built into the side of the largest hill in the immediate area, Carthurst Rise, offering a relatively unbroken panoramic view of the surrounding region from the top of the town.
