Elves
When I first met the Tall People, I thought them to be a quiet, meek sort, oddly detached from the world around them. But what I had taken for lack of interest, was in fact quiet observation, backed by a fierce intelligence. We would be wise not to underestimate them. Nor to anger them, I should think.

Civilization and Culture
Major Organizations
Over the years, the various elven tribes have coalesced mainly into two nations: the Commonwealth of Alfrond in the north of Eraida , and the Kingdom of the East in the far reaches of the ~INSERT MOUNTAIN RANGE~ on ~CONTINENT~. These are by no means the only elven factions, merely the largest.
There are also multiple city states dotted around the world, focused around areas with extreme densities of Vis permeating the air. These form a loose coalition named the League of the Aether, so called because of the belief that the excess Vis in their cities is a sign of the 'Aether', a mythical plane consisting of pure energy.
Finally, there are the tribes, each as alien to each other as the elves are to man. They are very rarely seen by any other sapient being, and do not appear to wish it were any other way.
Average Technological Level
The elves, being a highly magical race, did not feel the need to develop high levels of technology, instead relying on magic and nature to maintain their civilisations. Water wheels are a frequent method of gaining mechanical power in elven cities, and a lot of improbable structures have been built that are supported by magic and maintained by elves that specialise in construction.
Major Language Groups and Dialects
The northern and eastern elven nations each have their own languages, with the smaller city states and nomadic tribes also speaking their own tongues. Most elves also speak the common tongue, and their extended lifespans allow them the time to pick up any other languages they may need.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Elves as a whole have tended to keep to their own regions, and certainly they have very little interaction with the dwarven kingdoms. They do not hate or even dislike other races, they just tend to feel they have no need of them, preferring the company of their own kind and the safety of the Energy rich regions of their homelands.
This feeling is not universal however; along the boundaries of their kingdoms, elves frequently cross borders and trade, marry and interbreed with the humans there. One of the most interesting examples of this is a house of the northern Commonwealth of Alfrond, which maintains close ties with the Helgish Empire and which, in a curious set of circumstances, has resulted in a half elf sitting on the Imperial Throne.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Elves have a variety of skin tones, similar to the humans in nearby regions. They also frequently have blue lines under the skin, thought to be a physical mark of their excess Vis, which are usually tattooed over.
