Mimic Vegetation

Mimic Vegetation are plants that somehow migrated to Terrestrisan from the Fey-wild. They have the ability to copy plants in their area, including vegetation as small as grasses all the way up to trees.

Basic Information

Anatomy

They grow what they need to to copy the plants around them.

Ecology and Habitats

The species uses an ability to copy surrounding plants to adapt to any enviroment that there is plant life.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The species needs decent soil to maintain itself. That being said it has been known to parasitize other plants and some animals to meet its nutritional needs.

Behaviour

Depending on the enviroment the species uses a few ways to get its nutritional needs. There are some that have been observed growing fruits to attract animals and insects to them to eat. Others have been observed slowly stalking creatures and ambushing them.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The species has the ability to see Magical Lifeforce. Some specimens of the species have been observed to extend their senses through their roots(Up to a range of 200ft(60.96m)) and the ability to link their root system to other trees to extend their vision.

Symbiotic and Parasitic organisms

The ones observed parasitizing creatures make the victim want to stay in the area through pheromones and magic so the victim can be fed on readily.

Civilization and Culture

History

There are other species that they have been mistaken for. The similarities can be distinguished in two ways. The Mimic Vegetation does not strangle victims like the Lynch Vine it covers the body and crushes them. The Mimic Vegetation do not bait creatures in with their fruits smells to ambush them like the Lure Tree the fruits are there to be eaten and they have a neurotoxin to paralyze the victims for burying under the plant.
Lifespan
Unknown how long the species lives for most older specimens don't like being observed so they sneak away.
