Lure Trees are a fruit beiring tree that emit a strong sweet smell to lure in victims.

Genetics and Reproduction
When the Lure Tree is large enough it will fling a special version of its fruits that have seeds instead of acid. To be eaten by creatures to spread the seeds.

This species of tree can go from seedling to fruiting within two years depending on soil quality.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The Lure Tree has been observed to go periods of time as long as 20 years without collecting victims to fertilize itself.
Behaviour
The Lure Tree as the name implies lures its victims in with the sweet smell from the fruit to then ambush the victims. The tree then uses its roots to bind the victim in place then batters them with their fruits by flinging them off their branches, the fruit have acidic juices that explode upon impact with a area of effect of 10ft(3.04m). After the victim has been dispatched the Lure Tree uses its roots to move the victim to the base of the tree and then under it into a root ball to be composted.

Domestication
These species of tree have been domesticated as a deterent for theives and bandits in place that are further from towns than the gaurds would like to go.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
The Lure Tree is able to sense creatures through its root system, which it links to other trees in the area to extend the range. Its normal root range has been observed to be as far as 300ft(91.44m) away from the visible tree itself, with it connecting into other trees around it its been observed to detect creatures through out the whole forest.
Lifespan
It is unknown how long they will live for, but the oldest known specimen is maintained by a Tribe of Druids in The Old Grove.
