Ryndarien Empire

The Ryndarien Empire maintains control over Northern Ostensia. The Gilded Run River marks the Southern Border of their territory, which extends Westward from the coast of the Amaranthian Ocean to the Shores of the The Feigning Sea
Emperor Yuriel Ryndarien is currently the head of state.

Structure

Each major city is ruled by a leader known as a Starosta.   Advisors known as Mastimmes are sent to the major cities of puppet nations to help maintain political control. The Mastimme of each major city is responsible for communication with the central political power in Capitol (often utilizing arcane means), and thus is often considered to be the voice of the empire.   The Ryndarien empire is ruled by a single emperor who serves as the head of state. The current emperor is Yuriel Ryndarian.

Culture

The Ryndarien empire has large scale and widespread economic disparity. The working class is heavily taken advantage of and mistreated by nobility and the higher class. It is not uncommon to see unjust incarceration of innocent people solely to further a political figure's personal agenda and propagate their (often corrupt) world view.

Public Agenda

The Ryndarien empire is an ambitious and industrious nation. They seek to rapidly expand their territory to access and exploit natural resources.

Military

The Ryndarien empire controls an elite military. Their Volstrucker battalions operate as a devastating frontline force specializing in arcane battle techniques.

Technological Level

The Ryndarien empire is one of the leading nations in arcane experimentation and research. They focus on the development of industrial processes and alchemical transformations using arcane technology such as arcane arc furnace metallurgy and artificial synthesis of rare gemstones.

Foreign Relations

The Ryndarien empire controls two puppet states, which were previously controlled by the Noble houses House Hardt and House Blackwater before being conquered through military campaign. Both states were allowed to maintain some semblance of their existing culture and political structure, but now maintain only nominal sovereignty. Additionally, both houses were required to instate temples of The Novum in their major cities and abstain from worshipping outlawed deities.

Worship

The Ryndarien empire recognizes 9 major deities, known collectively as the The Novum. Worship of non approved deities is forbidden by law.

Priesthood

The religious inquisitors of the empire are known as Sparrows. They work to seek out and convert those who engage in worship of false idolatry.

Sects

Each of the 9 deities of the novum has it's own sect which is run by a high priest.
