House Blackwater
House Blackwater is a maritime nation which controls the coastline of North Eastern Ostensia as well as the Blackwater Archipelago. Historically, they skirmished often with House Hardt who continually halted their expansion inland.
House Blackwater was recently conquered by the Ryndarien Empire. They were allowed to maintain some semblance of their cultural and political structure, but are required to designate most of their military forces (the majority being naval) to the empire. Additionally, they were mandated to build and maintain a temple of the The Novum in each of their major cities and abstain from the worship of outlawed deities. They are known for their naval skill and military strength at sea, and culturally are a viking like nation in their ideals and customs. This has led them to excel at privateering.

Structure
House Blackwater is a sea faring society, who are paid well by the crown in order to protect trade routes. There is little economic disparity as anyone working as a privateer is paid well, but better according to their skill and notoreity.
The nobility maintains a more luxurious style of life.
House Blackwater is split into 7 clans. Unlike other houses, Blackwater is not a family name, but rather refers to the geographical location of the Blackwater Archipelago, which houses the 7 clans of House Blackwater.
