Konosuke Takei
The Archmage in charge of the governance and protection of Azumura. He has samurai in his service who wear masks and have taken vows of silence.
Konosuke is written with the kanji 鋼(steel), 之 (the), and 介 (meditated). Takei, though usually written with characters meaning “warrior” and “well”, the original meaning is probably “bamboo well”.
