Sleastatt Noble Houses (Slee-stat)

"After the betrayal of the Ithacaran Nobles at Tantalus, the Houses that remained in the Scrapnest Cluster were persecuted, hunted, and nearly destroyed as the Ithacan Star League, as they now styled themselves, enforced their "new order" on all citizens. The surviving Houses (and staff, retainers, citizens) entered over a century of isolation to protect what little remained of the Imperial heritage, awaiting the day when the Imperial Navy emerged from the Core to re-establish order. In the meantime they set up many fronts for Hochfrei (agents) to work under the guise of various organisations."   - Copied from notes found in the possession of an Aquilan Society member (executed for treason).

"The Houses of the Scrapnest Cluster saw an opportunity to emerge and re-take territory after the Ithacan Star League withdrew from the Scrapnest cluster. Exploritorum Prima operatives state that the destruction of Niobe Station at Amphion Crossing caused this sudden withdrawal. The Houses consolidated all the separate groups they'd recruited and formed them together under the banner of 'The Sleastatt Alliance', itself something of a front to ward off any reprisals from the Star League.   Note: This was hampered by counter-actions taken by the Puppeteers which were revealed and eradicated by the Houses, unfortunately these parasitic biological entities - considered by most to be the product of illegal research at Tantalus Station - were active for at least the first four years of the Sleastatt Alliance's operation."   - Prima Consolidator, Report 554:1A0 summary.

"...Sleastatt was a common-born woman, a survivor of the War, her life was dedicated to forging alliances between the scattered survivor groups. In her honour the noble Houses signed the Sleastatt Accords when they agreed to work together to protect what remained of the Imperium."   - "War Stories" by Hegelic Jasum (Bracks Bazaar News, edition 267)

"The Sleastatt Houses often present as a single Noble Dynasty (and it's common to find confusion in people that don't fully understand the shifting web of alliances that are actually involved). In reality, the Sleastatt Houses/Alliance/Dynasty are actually a power-bloc formed of the old loyalist Imperial Houses. Why there are so many different names and titles that apply to the same group is beyond me, but for now, the Alliance fleet is most definitely on the move."   - Errata to the 'Factional Guidebook of Where to to and what not to do', fifth edition. Author unknown.

::::: DOWNLOAD FROM TANTALUS CORE: A5893483 (ILLEGAL ACCESS DETECTED):::::  The Sleastatt Alliance is a coalition of groups - most notably the Restorationist League - that share a similar philosophy (although not quite a unified vision). They feel that the Ithacan League has failed (in various ways) and seeks to create a society that functions more effectively.   The Sleastatt Alliance have declared independence from the Star League. They operate a large war-era battle-carrier, the Agamemnon, salvaged from the Graveyard along with a small fleet of ships that they use for defence of alliance territory.   The Alliance offers an alternative to the Syndicate for people in the Graveyard that want a safe(ish) place to live and work.   The Alliance differs from the Syndicate in that it is a military organisation - therefore all citizens of the Alliance are expected to fit within the martial order. In recent years patrols flying the Alliance banner have been seen in increasing numbers as more and more people flock to them.   The Syndicate and Corsairs are openly hostile towards the Alliance, while the Black Tooth consider them rivals for territory, but don't have any political issue with the Alliance. ::::: DOWNLOAD FROM TANTALUS CORE: A5893483 (ILLEGAL ACCESS DETECTED) :::::
