Exploritum Prima (Explor-it-um Pree-ma)

The Exploritum Prima is primarily an intelligence gathering network. They developed from the Hochfrei, a group of honour-sworn bodyguards attached to the Houses of the Raakatan Imperium Minoris.   After the rebellion of several noble Houses in 892.M41 that nearly saw the total eradication of the Imperial way of life in favour of the Ithacan Star Leagues new civil authority, the remaining Houses entered a period of isolation.   The House Hochfrei were already experts at intelligence gathering, a vital tool for a bodyguard to do their jobs. This developed into a wider-ranging mandate as the needs of the Houses changed. The Hochfrei from the remained Houses merged into the Exploritum Prima and became the Sleastatt Alliance's primary intelligence-gathering network.   Individuals working on in the field are often internally referred to as Hochfrei as an official title.  

Present Day

  The Sleastatt Houses have been in hiding for almost a century, protecting the Imperial remnant from the separatist Ithacan Star League. During this time the Exploritum Prima have developed into a shield, protecting the truth of the Sleastatt Alliance from prying eyes.   Prima agents in the modern era can be anyone from any walk of life, many do not even fully understand exactly who or what they are protecting. Prima agents are often considered diplomats, negotiators, sometimes spies and occasionally assassins - whatever protecting the Sleastatt Houses requires.   After the call to arms and the departure of the Sleastatt Fleet for Tantalus to assist in the Second Ork War, the Exploritum Prima have shifted to a more visible role. Negotiating for supplies, attempting to connect with sympathetic groups, identifying new threats from the rapidly-evolving political landscape of the Ithacan League Territories are all vital roles for Prima agents.
