Airi Akira Mirai
Empress Airi Akira Mirai (a.k.a. Silk, Sierra-3, Tenebris Nocturna, Daughter of the Night,)
"Ever watched the stars at night? To you they might just be shiny lights up in the sky, but where i come from everyone knows that when you´re watching the stars, someone else might be watching you from the other side." -AiriAiri is an Azurian ASOI agent who was sent to Galileo 1641-B to assist humanity in the war against the Star Spawn as well as to determine wether they were posing an actual threat for the Covenant or not. She is the main protagonist of TERRA AFTER EARTH: WRATH OF THE STARS, and the secondary Protagonist of both TAE: DEN OF THE WOLVES and TAE: AT FUTURES MERCY.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Thanks to her genetic engineering, Airi is a beatiful young woman with long, silky hair and almost cat-like eyes. However, despite her slender appearance, she has been shown to have an unusual amount of physical strength, even surpassing that of Lyra and other OUC soldiers.
Due a failure of her cryochamber, she developed a rare kind of skin cancer, turning her skin pale white and her red hair ash grey.
Physical quirks
After being recruited by ASOI, Airi received a new pair of cybernetic arms that would allow her a great advantage on her mission, enhancing her already supernatural strength.
Special abilities
Airi was once a Pathfinder, a special soldier specialized in exploring new planets much like the OUC Rangers. Thanks to that, not only has she mastered an elite military training but she also is able to make use of any environment she finds herself in, able to determine the use of the local fauna and flora alike for any purpose imaginable.
Specialized Equipment
-Jishaku: A traditional Zephyrian Weapon that is made from fluid metal. With electromagnetism, the fluid can take the shape of any desired melee weapon like a sword, a spear or even other tools such as a shield. It is also possible to turn the Jishaku into an electromagnetic bow that fires pure energy bolts requiring no ammo.
-Doku no Tsume: A pair of poison claws built into her cybernetic arms. The poison they use is extracted from Kirus and can either kill or incapacitate, with the claws itself being able to be utilized as either a melee- or a throwing weapon.
-David & Marshal: A pair of plasma pistols that Airi named after two musicians from Terra.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Airi was born almost a millenia ago on the Planet of Azura Prime, the capital of the fascist Azurian Hegemony during a cold war with the Covenant. Her real name is Tenebris Nocturna, and she was altered with the DNA of a long dead Azurian woman called Nightmother Nocturna to look just like her, reason for that being that the Azura worshipped the Nightmother and this was their way of forcing her reincarnation. However, Azura only reproduce by IVF (In Vitro Fertilization), as men were regarded as nothing but slaves and regular sexual intercourse between men and women was stricly prohibited. Airi was a different case tough, as her mother Oceana Nocturna had an affair with her personal servant Zao-He Mirai.
Out of fear that Airi would become a tyrant just like her mother, Zao-He took advantage of Oceanas trust and strangled her in her sleep, taking his daughter to a safer place. Since Zao-He had connections to a rebel group within the Hegemony, he staged a coup, which was unsuccessful but enables millions of opressed slaves to escape to the Covenant, Zao-He and Airi along with them.
Eventually, the two were greeted by the Emperor of the Zephyrian Hegemony, a seperatist group made up of former Azurian slaves. Since the Emperor had no offspring to take his place, Zae-He was declared the new emperor of the Zephyra for his bravery, making his daughter who he named Airi from then on their princess.
Years went by and Airi started following her father all around the galaxy on diplomatic missions, growing up on several different Planets. As she grew older, she began to develop a certain fascination for the galaxy and its inhabitants, being inspired by the Covenants pursuit of intergalactic peace. However, as the Zephyra still had no Planet of their own, Airi felt a certain responsibility for her people, leading to her and her father negotiating about their own territory. They were successful, at last but their new gain came with a price: The Covenant agreed on granting the Zephyra their own star system, that being none other than what Humanity would later call Galileo 1641-B, but only when they agreed to be the Covenants base of operations for their new expansion initiative to explore the galactic core.
Their victory was short lived, sadly, as during the construction of their colonies, the Zephyra got attacked by Ferros & Oculus, who blew up the Planet Mirai, the Zephyras new main capital, in order to create a ringworld of then unknown purpose. Zao-He and several million other Zephyra died during this attack, and the system was eventually abandoned, with the expansion initiative being suspended indefinetely as the Covenant feared they might have unintentionally provoked an interstellar conflict.
Airi, now ridden with the loss of her father, her home and severe survivors guilt begged Osman not to treat the wounds she endured during the attack as she wanted her life to end. However, before dying, Zao-He tasked his best friend Jafar Osman, High Chairman of the Galactic Council to watch over her, and thus, he managed to put her into cryosleep with only an inch of her life. Since Jafar knew that he could not help her, he chose to leave her in stasis, hoping that one day conflict on Mirai would get resolved someday.
Almost 1000 years later, the Covenant picked up strange signals from their former colony on Mirai and discovered that Humanity had colonized the system during the Covenants absence. Jafar, now seeing a chance for Airi to finally make peace with her past, woke her up from cryosleep, thus giving her life a new chance, where the events of TERRA AFTER EARTH: WRATH OF THE STARS began.
Sexuality
Pretty much any guy over 1,8 meters.
Mental Trauma
The prenatal conditioning that the Azura were forcing on their youth had also taken a toll on Airis psyche. Azurian girls were genetically programmed to only be able to feel compassion, love and general empathy for other female Azura. Since she was only being around her father her entire youth, she developed a psychosexual disorder called Electra Complex, greatly damaging her relationship to her father who felt disguisted by his own daughter. For years, she had to undergo mental training to get rid of the Azurian conditioning.

Motivation
Seeing how her people were stripped of everything, Airi swore to herself that she would never let something like that happen again and fully commited to help humanity in any way possible to fight the Star Spawn.
