Despite their small stature, goblins across Teranuz have developed a reputation as tenacious and resourceful fighters, using their nimble frames and natural ferocity to deftly weave in and out of battle while landing powerful, targeted blows against their larger opponents. While not as naturally strong as bugbears or as tactically minded as hobgoblins, the goblin race has nevertheless eked out a wide variety of societal niches due to their surprising adaptability, able to quickly adjust to new environments with relative ease. In terms of adaptability and resourcefulness, goblins are perhaps only rivalled by humans and elves.Society and Culture
Much like humans, goblins are widespread across the world of Teranuz, and as such have divided into a number of disparate and unique cultures and societies.Crestfall
- Deepscar goblins dwell primarily within the subterranean Underdark of Crestfall, particularly beneath the region of Scar Valley. Deepscar goblins have pale skin in blue or grey tones, and unlike their surface-dwelling counterparts, are often completely hairless.
- Gryttr goblins make up small communities and tribes within the mountainous regions of Gryttrheim, possessing jaundiced or orange skin and bright red eyes. More reclusive than most, the goblins of Gryttrheim often compete for land and resources with the other inhabitants of the region, including orcs and the occasional community of human settlers.
- Gulgundan goblins are the green-skinned descendants of those that did not or could not flee the caste system of their homeland, and continued to reside in Gulgund for countless generations. Many of these goblins still reside within the region, either in the comparatively urban centers such as the ancient city of Ballyhoo or in fringe communities as rangers, farmers or dinosaur ranchers.
