Shadow Self

Shadow Selves are entities created via magic to fully emulate the target of the spell.
Kaelyn Corlassi had the most Shadow Selves created of her in history, as her exposure to forgotten Andron weaponry created them as a last bastion of defense. The Androns were a people who valued peace and natural strength without need for Enhancement or weapons, and so they protected their most aggressive technologies with their most dangerous spell, the ability to create the antithesis to oneself.
A Shadow Self is often confused by bystanders with a Shadow Echo, which is the result of direct contact with Imustones. Whereas a Shadow Echo is a damaged and split form of a "half-person", a Shadow Self is a fully unique individual entity designed to destroy its target.
The Mi'Lar are also confused with Shadow Selves and Shadow Echoes, but they are an entirely independent entity capable of individual thought and created, not mutated.
The Shadow Selves are typically more powerful than their targets, and possess abilities designed to counter them.
Though Kaelyn Corlassi encountered numerous deployments of this spell, it is atypical and highly uncommon. The Shadow Self spell is precursory magic, and long forgotten.
Korangar, the God-Slayer also encountered a Shadow Self during his journey to become Enhanced. Atop The Mountain of Living Winds, where Seekers face challenges to become Blessed by the Mountain, Korangar fought against the Shadow Self spawned by the spirit of The Gaean.
