Bolkion

the builder

Bolkion the builder was already a renowned architect on Vesa before he came to Tera, with many great achievements to his name. He however had the feeling that he needed a new challenge, and therefore happily volunteered for the task set by Aethos . His particular skillset was not very usefull during the Salvation , and Bolkion had never considered himself much of a warrior anyway. Aside from designing and building gigantic traps and weapons, his role was a passive one most of the time. The hunt on Slek was an exception, as Bolkion himself was the one to discover the plagued dwarves in the gresrok mountains. Their combined forces took down the gigantious worm, and the ertman would be forever grateful.

The dwarves were far better at building than the humans, so Bolkion learned as much as he could during his short time in the mountain before heading back to east-Theria. His first big project was the Sekura lighthouse , which would aid his kinbrothers with the capture of Asreaval, as well as keeping other aquatic titans from the sea of men. Most of the labour was done by amthali citizens. Quickly it became clear to him that the skill of humans was limited, causing complications and delays that irritated him greatly. This frustration grew bigger over the years, and Bolkion became known to be very unforgiving against his workers. The lighthouse however was a succes, and the sea of men now belonged to the humans.

Bolkion joined his vesajan kin eastwards, and this is where he met the dwarves living in the stronghold of Orth, carved out of the mountains of the Belt . He ofcourse had met dwarves before; the secluded dwarves of Vhorst in western Theria, and the Vandurr dwarves located more south in the gresrok mountains. The dwarves in the belt had heard of Bolkion before, and celebrated his coming. The appreciation was mutual, and Bolkion decided to stay. The dwarves were simply blown away by the skill of the vesajan builder, which over time made them look to him as their leader and god. This colony of dwarves even started to refer to themselves as Bolkion dwarves.

Centuries of various projects later, Bolkion was working on his bridge when he suspected Arkune of ill intent towards the east. He dug himself in, and remained by the side of his dwarves during the whole God-wars . In the year 551 A.V., Bolkion had heard that Aethos had returned, and surrounded himself with thousands of his dwarven followers in the great hall. A white flash suddenly originated from where he sat, so bright that it shone through rock and stone, blinding everybody in the mountain. The vision of the dwarves slowly returned, but Bolkion would never be seen again.
Today, the hand of Bolkion remained the most visible of all the vesaja, as his constructions still stand strong, scattered around the world of men

Ascendants

During Bolkion's time on earth, he ascended several dwarves close to him. These individuals were given a longer life, improved strenght and endurance, and the ability to infuse materials with magic. Before the builder's involvement, there was no single dwarf capable of magic, which means that every dwarf who holds magic are offspring of these ascended dwarves.
