Wolven Academy of The Gifted
Where the Seeds of Magic Grow
The Wolven Academy for the Gifted is a Wizardry School located in Varkenheim. In order to gain entrance, one must either be recommended in by an esteemed mage or member of the Varken Council, purchase entry into the school, or in exceedingly rare cases, approach the school with evidence of powerful latent magic. The school at any given time has a few hundred students, any from 100 to 400, with anywhere from 30 to 100 teachers teaching on campus. Founded during the Elven Wars, it was used as a way to create more powerful soldiers in order to rival the incredible powers that the Elves held. The headmaster and first founder, in the year of 228HMR, reportedly towards the end of the season of Tempest began teaching a small group of apprentices, numbering only a dozen. The teacher, Arcaludus Docer'in, a half-elf hated by elves, after 12 years of teaching, condensed a teaching lesson into four years that teaches wizards the bare minimum they would need to become military soldiers. Over the next hundreds of years, the Academy grew, from just simple disciples into a small school, with 3 or 4 different ex-military teachers coming back to further the study of magic.
In present day, there are 5 divisions of the Wolven Academy, each specializing in separate area of magical expertise. One focuses on sorcery, whilst others focus on bardcraft, abjuration magic, general wizardry, and most recently, artificery. The school is esteemed throughout Tempor'Il as the finest wizardry school throughout the lands. Those who find a connection to the weave often try to enter, though few make it. Many head north, towards the Elomir College of Wizardry and Witchcraft, which is less esteemed but known to be another powerful school. To this day, the four year method of learning is still held, allowing for students to study magic either individually or using campus resources. Either way, the Academy encourages those to venture forth with their life and study magic in a way that suits their needs.

The Wolven Acadamy of The Giften has a tendency to dislike the Church of Selûne thanks to their focus on religion as the focus of magic.
