Hold of Ilti (hohld uhv EEL-tee)

This hold was built into the base of the Elder Tree, Ygdras. It is the seat of power of Kyfa Ennore and currently houses the Silent League and the Council of the Crown.   The hold also honors the residence of Ilti the Gynosphinx who also provides council to Sovereign Orilynn.

The Hold of Ilti is a stone structure that is built into the base of Ygdras.   A heavy pair of white wooden doors open to the main foyer carved in stone. The railings and windows throughout the hold are intricately carved to resemble the limbs of trees and the flowing of a river.   Grand stairs curve up to a set of doors set within the open maw of a crowned lioness. Beyond these doors is large audience chamber. At the far end of this chamber, a throne sits with wings carved behind rising to a single point. A balcony looks down on the hall from behind the throne - a perch from which Ilti silently observes the proceedings.    Deep within the hold, the stone outer structure gives way to the excavated wood of the tree. One of these passages descends deep within the earth to a dungeon. In fact, this dungeon resides in one Ygdras' roots suspended one hundred feet over the floor of a massive cavern.
