Session XXXIII: Making Amends Report

Shortly after Captain Isaac dropped the party off at the outskirts of the Mirewood Swamps, the effects of Horxim's suggestive magic on Zenora wore off, and the party set forth with Zaki, Horxim, and Calico utilizing the interconnected network of tree roots and low-hanging branches to avoid the mucky terrain, while Wiinken and Zenora relied on Wiinken's magic and ingenuity to follow.   With their focus fully trained on navigating this alien terrain, they failed to notice the lack of other wildlife and an overpowering stench of rot and decay until it was too late; a slip of the hand, and a branch fell into the muck, alerting a lurking mycodrax to their presence. Its tentacles promised death as they touched first Horxim and then Zenora, leeching both of life. Nearly all the party members fell victim to the fungus creature before the battle was over, and we pick up here in the aftermath of that encounter.
