Session XXVIII: Forest Giants Report

Desperate for a way out of the city, Horxim found himself descending the lift with Ymeisna Grashni, Captain of the Trees' Teeth, to face the rhino beetles from the forest floor since their only unarmored weak spots are on their throat and underbelly. The two rangers split up, attempting to flank the two battling rhino beetle bulls and take them down simultaneously.   While Horxim was carefully stalking his prey, a dreadfully familiar tentacle-like plant was stalking him, and by the time he sighted it, the only thing he could do was freeze. In doing so, he caught Ymeisna's attention, confusing and distracting her enough that she, too, failed to see another plant tendril until it had swept her up by an ankle.   Seeing these events unfold from up in the city, the rest of the party found various ways to get involved, some opting to stay aloft, while others made their way to the ground.   At this point in the battle, Ymeisna has been dropped by the carnivorous plant into the radius of flammable acid it had spewed in the first round; she's taken quite a lot of damage and isn't able to move herself. Calico Jack is poised to save her, as long as nothing goes wrong.   Horxim is atop the brown rhino beetle, which itself is attempting to attack Wiinken.   The green rhino beetle is engaged with the carnivorous plant that attacked Horxim, and the plant is under attack from Zaki and Zenora:   Wiinken Calico Zaki Horxim Light green plant Ymeisna Green rhino Brown rhino Zenora
